Hello. We would like to introduce ourselves shortly before we meet up at Collegedale Flea Market. We are group of people of believers who believe in God, His Son and Holy Spirit. Our parents immigrated to United Sates from different Soviet Union countries back in 1980 and 1990 due to religious persecutions. But most of our church members are from Ukraine, and that’s why we call our church Slavic church. We are grateful for United States that gave our parents and grandparents freedom to worship our God and keep our culture and traditions alive. Our congregation is small around 75 members. But we are blessed to have 50 children and 30 of youth. Most of our members been living in Chattanooga/ Ooltewah area since 1998. We always rented out churches to have our services. But with God’s help, we purchased land couple years ago here in Ooltewah. We have big need in building our own church because it is getting hard to find rent for such group of people with so many children and youth. We are in great need for our own building that we can freely worship God, raise our children and pass on to them what was passed to us from our parents, and God’s True Word, Christian morals, teach them to be faithful to God and preach to others that more people would be saved. Our church services are more traditional with preaching of Gospel and singing Hymns. We have Sunday school classes for children, Kids Choir, small Orchestra, and youth services. We also see how war in Ukraine brings more refugees into our state too. We participate in many different projects and support people in need due to the war. Having our own church, would give us more possibilities to host refugees, and anyone in need in our area. We are greatly thankful for finding interest in our small congregation and letting us to participate in this Flea Market. May God bless you and keep you all safe.
